My favorite things in the world are seeing new things, discovering new places, meeting new people, and eating great food. I crave it, the way some people need a good donut.
If I’m not planning an adventure—a walk in a new neighborhood, a new-to-me restaurant, or life-affirming trip of a lifetime—I feel dead inside.
Ok maybe not dead inside, exactly. But you know what I mean, because you hunger for those things too. I’m in love with people, places, and things...even the ones I only know vicariously through other people.
Here is what I know.
The world is big, beautiful, aromatic and delicious.
Experiences win over things every single time.
Dishes and laundry can wait.
People are interesting, beautiful and complex.
We can do hard things, together.
We’re all travelers on a common journey with an expiration date, so let’s make the most of it, shall we?
A bit more about me:
My "day job" is working in corporate relations/development at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. I try to maintain my freelance writing on the side, and I enjoy writing about the intersection of food, travel, and people.
My husband Troy is the co-pilot on most of our adventures. We’re young empty nesters who are dreaming, planning and doing everything we can to structure our life so we can live the life we want. We love our son a lot, but we really love our amazing pet sitter who provides great peace of mind, and who makes a lot of our travel dreams feasible.
Blessed doesn’t begin to cover it.
