Bonus points if you know that movie reference.
I’m a little late to the party in connecting this blog page to my more recent creative pursuit.
In May, 2021 I started a little project called the CLE Foodcast. It’s a podcast that amplifies the voices of people who grow, cook, and share food here in Northeast Ohio.
It’s really just the start of my plan to morph into Terry Gross, the G.O.A.T.,host of NPR’s Fresh Air for 45 years, and the master (mistress? That sounds super weird) of interviewing.
She started in 1985 and was actually the second host of the program. It was the year I graduated high school (may delete later) and the year I started at Kent State University to pursue broadcasting.
So…years later, here I am starting a podcast. Because I can. Because I saw a niche that wasn’t filled here in Northeast Ohio.
I’ve put out a podcast almost every week and I will soon record episode 47! I hope you give CLE Foodcast a listen…I aim to tell stories that you won’t find elsewhere in a format that is very personal and immersive. I think there is something extra impactful in storytelling when you are able to hear that story in the direct first-person words of my guests.
The ‘cast is on most major podcast apps, including Spotify, Overcast, Apple, and Stitcher and also lives on this website (check the nav bar). Or here is really easy link to use for Anchor.fm.
